ABOUT THE ARTIST
Luc is a French realistic painter based in Lisbon, signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists. He studied art in Paris, London and New Jersey and practises figure drawing at the Sociedade de Belas Artes in Lisbon. Luc traveled in 2017 in Antarctica, which greatly influenced his vision of space and light, two pillars of his artwork. Like the impressionist of the 19th century, Luc since then developed a habit of painting outside, directly onsite, in order to capture the natural spectrum of colours that manifest into nature. Not being too dependent on digital of photographic references allows him to grasp the subtle changes in hues and values.
